I returned to Ebei for lunch a few days ago and my experience was positive. I think it has improved from past visits.

Sat at the sushi bar and there was no wait for seating at about 1 pm. Service was prompt and the wait staff did not make us wait to take our orders.

The AYCE lunch costs about $12 per person, which is the same as the competition. It includes all the usual sushi rolls etc as every other place. But you have to pay $1.25 per order of sashimi.

We had two orders of sashimi and it was fine for us. The food quality was good. The food was fresh. The restaurant was comfortable. For under $30 the two of us had a very good and satisfying lunch.

I would rate this a solid 8 out of 10. Nothing to complain about here.
