kind of expensive and not too great

The restaurant itself is clean enough, but not as nice as under the previous ownership.

The washroow was not clean. I should add here that this location has gone through several incarnations, starting as Yick's and then changing hands at least 4 times since then. A year or two ago, one third of the building was walled off and became a rather poor quality Malaysian place. But tonight was sushi night.

The service was good enough, although some of the orders took a while to get to the table. The food was pretty good, but not at the top of my list. One annoyance was the class system for ordering. They have A, B, and C classes which can drive the price of the AYCE up to an astounding 27 dollars.

I had the 17 dollar A-list. The confusing bit comes when you fill out the form to order (they don't use PDA's here). You have to be careful not to order from the expensive items or a single order could get you dinged for an extra 10 dollars! The paper form does not properly separate the first class from steerage class items It is nerve-wracking!

I liked all the items I ate and everyone at our table seemed satisfied with the variety. Still I left feeling that I could have gotten better value for my money elsewhere. Nothing really impressed me enough to say 'wow'.
