stay away from Manyo... very bad

A few years ago, my friend and I were starving for all you can eat sushi so we decided to give this restaurant a go. The only two things I remember were: slow service (there were only a few people there), the food was BAD. Actually, the restaurant decided to close early (around 8.30pm) because there were nobody there.

Yesterday, a few friends suggested going out for the all you can eat sushi. They picked one that was close to them, i.e. Manyo. Once I heard the place, I remember low quality food. However, I decided to give them a second chance as my experience was a few years ago.

Bad decision. First, the table they gave us was dirty (sticky surface). Some items that we ordered from the all you can eat menu never arrived. The red snapper was not fresh at all (smelly) and the tuna sashimi was watery and mushy. The imitation crab looked and tasted like rubber and the deep fried gyoza wasn't deep fried at all. (those were packaged gyoza that you can buy from the frozen section of the grocery store). The most appalling was that they didn't use proper sushi short grain rice! They used long grain rice!!! I listened to their talking and they do speak in Japanese...what's happening here?

I will not go there again.
