Lunch AYCE is very good

Not sure why we waited this long to check out this place as it really is good.

The food is quite tasty for AYCE, our table had the lunch AYCE menu which doesn't look like it has that much choice to being with, but we were all satisfied.

The portions are on the smaller side which I liked, as it allowed us to try more items and kept us from overeating too much. The gomae dressing is tasty and the petite sunomono is perfectly refreshing. The miso soup is stronger and saltier here.

Something unusual on their menu is the Portuguese sauce seafood motoyaki, this is a mild curry and coconut based sauce but the coconut flavour doesn't really come through, it's baked with assorted seafood and bits of mushroom and corn, this dish worked.

I love cones and the scallop cone contained larger chunks of fresh, chopped scallop without being heavy on the mayo! I didn't really care for the spicy tuna cone, but at least the sauce was spicy.

The salmon sashimi is edible, but my personal preference is sockeye salmon which isn't offered at lunchtime. The avocado maki was filled with lots of avocado.

They really shine on cooking dishes, the gyoza is perfectly crisped, and the chicken terriyaki is crispy on the bottom.

While we don't indulge that often at AYCE's our tummies were happy here and we will return.

The service seemed normal for a AYCE place neither better or worse. The pricing is very competitive at $9.99 for weekday lunch including sashimi while offering the best quality of all AYCE's in the area. The spacious restaurant ambiance is nice as well. The location is great to combine with lunch and a visit to the surrounding mall's.
