I wish I had the reviews before going to this place today. I had a friend visiting me and she had heard about the sushi in Vancouver. I decided to try this place. And I made a terrible mistake deciding to try the AYCE for lunch because I thought she could try different types of sushi and tempura.
The service was unfriendly. The waitress just gave us some chits of paper and didn't turn up for a while after that. The cooks indicated to us that we had to write down the numbers. Then finally she came and took our order and for some reason was unhappy right from the start. Some of the things like tempura wasn't delivered to us. When I pointed it out to the waitress, she denied it. Then I asked her to show me the slip of paper and there was the number. All in all, bad food and unfriendly service. I'm never going to visit this place ever agin and I'll warn all my friends who regularly try out sushi places not to go there.
There were a lot of tourists at the restaurant and I was wondering what kind of an impression they would take back of Vancouver if they were all treated in this manner.
My friend didn't want to leave a tip. The waitress had the cheek to ask us if we were expecting change to be given back, to which I promptly said "yes".
Hope this place closes down soon.
