Shabusen Granville is the best all you can eat Sushi and BBQ in the lower mainland. Trust me, my husband and I go there every week on Thursday or Friday night. We have tried other places (on Broadway, Downtown Vancouver, South Vancouver, Richmond) but have found no other restaurant that has the quality, quantity and mouthwatering delight as Shabusen.
We love the sashimi (salmon and tuna), the chicken karagi, agedashi tofu, short ribs for bbq (best in town and not fatty like other places), oysters motoyaki (yeah oysters motoyaki!), hamachi, red snapper, sunomo salad, miso soup, clams, squid, edemami, guoza both pan and deep fried, chicken for bbq, sushi of every variety, and so on and so on.
There is just too much to mention. It is the best food and the best deal in town. I hope you go and enjoy yourselves, but try to make reservations if you can because they are very busy. Why? Because it's the best food and best deal in town in my opinion.
