If you find yourself in city centre Calgary craving sushi, we can highly recommend going to Goroandgun at Scotia Centre. Their specialty is Ramen Japanese noodle soup, which we saw many patrons enjoying at nearby tables. However, the crew from Sushi Buffets went there to eat some sushi and enjoy their bento boxes.
We arrived at lunch hour quite hungry, so all of us ordered the free range chicken bento boxes, which came with lobster sushi rolls, a salad, some kimchi and started with a miso soup. The quality is the food was excellent, and we were very satisfied with our meal. Service was friendly, efficient, the ambiance is excellent, and we were seated in a corner table would be ideal for a business lunch.
To supplement out bento boxes we shared the seared salmon roll, which was a very large, filling and wonderfully delicious roll that included a mixture of cucumber, lobster, crab, sockeye salmon, cheese, red onion and green onion.
Goroandgun also offers take-out and delivery in the local office area for just $5. We are looking forward to our next visit to Goroandgun the next time we find ourselves in Calgary. If you visit please tell them you were referred from the folks at Sushi Buffets. It is a wonderful sushi find for any Japanese food lover who happens to be in city centre Calgary!
